JACK You won’t miss him - trust me, he stands out. Jack is a breed all his own, a refined being all wrapped up with the perfect blend of charm and elegance seldom seen in Manhattan. It was handed down by his father, who prodded him along the path of finery at a young age. Jack was born and raised a professional; while his father dealt a fine hand in raising his first born, Jack’s wit may not be as accepted in Manhattan as it was in Boston. Fortunately, he just may be one of the friendliest faces you’ll meet this side of Manhattan. Stroll into Carrington-Bradford, ask for an appointment. You’ll learn quickly that Jack has seen many faces before, but once he’s seen yours - out of the thousands he’s encountered - yours is unique to him. He’s a man of many wonders, which is likely why his clients enjoy him. He has a charm and wit about him that make his skill as a lawyer impeccable, as though you’d believe him on the spot if he told you there was a fortune buried beneath Staten Island. Speaking of fortune, he is a rather successful lawyer. That being said, his agenda is generally packed. Where you won’t find him working, you’ll find him in solitude. He’ll pick up anything you suggest for reading, or you may find him bird watching. Only twenty-seven, you’d think that Jack has a bit more to live for than bird watching and novel skimming. Jack, however, is a solitary man. On occasion, he may join his friends on a weekend at the casino or for a few days out of town. If there’s one thing you should know about Jack, it’s that - despite his remote nature - he always assures that his closest friends are well provided for. Is Jack an elite man? Absolutely not. Jack blends in with the typical wealthier cohorts of Murray Hill, where he’s lived since his move from Boston almost a year ago. Midtown still comes as a shock to Jack, and never fails to nearly be slammed by an oncoming car almost every afternoon. He’s typically scolded, obviously not a true New-Yorker. Nevertheless, he lives a pampered lifestyle in the velvet cushion of New York - Midtown. (I think it would be super awesome to have someone run into him who isn’t quite as well-off, and they eventually become friends, and said character becomes his “how to live in New York” guide. After all, New York is no Boston.) Jack doesn’t have a partner. He was once involved with a Charlotte ______, but she vanished after losing her son to leukemia. While Jack hangs onto Charlotte in the back of his mind, the idea of trying to love again has only been something that sounded impossible, though it isn’t. That being said, Jack’s love affairs are open for business. A note about Jack - he’s a curious sort of guy, but he doesn’t open up easily. At all. It takes a lot to see the real Jack - the Jack that most people are aware is worth getting to know. Otherwise, he treats and greets you on a professional basis only. All the while, he makes you feel special, like you’ve known him for years. Clearly, Jack is a friendly soul. He’s easy to get along with, but would - truthfully - only have two or three true companions that know him well enough. Only a couple of people would know Jack down to a point. Otherwise, he gets along with mostly everyone. Of course, you may have those angry clients or envious neighbors, onlookers, whatever the case may be. Would Jack intentionally have bad blood with any one person in particular? That’s unlikely - but possible. Mostly because Jack has only lived in Manhattan for a year, and still hardly - truly - knows a soul. He only knows names, faces and the legal cases behind them. All the same, many people know his name. So there’s potential for just about anything! Because he’s new, because he’s easy to get along with and just downright lovable, Jack would make an ideal person in anyone’s life for any given reason. He could be that freaky neighbor who’s way too shut up in his own world, that shoulder to cry on, the mystery man you want to know more about - he could even be that lawyer who lost your case (let’s face it, he can’t win them all) and you’re still not happy about it. You name it, Jack could probably fill that position for you! Message me with a plot. Post here with a plot. Or say: “Kassie, I love him. I want him. I just don’t know what the hell to do with him.” And we’ll work something out! To keep things nice and pretty, I've posted some templates that you can use for any character I have, if you like them and want to reply! | HE understood you just as far as you wanted to be understood, believed in you as you would like to believe in yourself, and assured you that HE had precisely the impression of you that, at your best, you hoped to convey |
