i'm in the business of misery

so athan needs his band, i didn't go too much into this in athan's plotter so i can go a little bit more into this now. athan's band is a small one in terms of fame. they're generally known mainly in the u.s. (small cities usually) and tour around with some success. this band is currently on a break while determining songs/music for the next album. so originally the band was formed by the gerard way charrie and athan with a couple of other high school friends. they did a few small recording sessions but never got around to touring/doing gigs before they broke up. gerard and athan naturally wanted to go on so they went looking for new band members. the hayley, matt, and open face charries are the youngest in the band (in order from youngest to oldest it would be matt, open, hayley) and also happen to share an apartment with ace. the open face charrie isn't with the band all the time, he/she is mainly a session player but are good friends with everyone in the band! the hayley tends to be like a younger sister to athan and the rest of the guys as well, but also tends to act sort of like the mother of the group. there's a good chemistry within the band, they've spent a lot of time on the road and in the studio so they're like a family. they can be super crazy and up in each other's faces at times, but they're all hard working and all that jazz. whoever takes the gerard and mikey characters gets to decide whether or not they're brothers or not! c:

and now athan's little bro. they are only a couple of years apart but they'd be very different from each other in a lot of aspects. i see athan's brother being more responsible and have more of a sophisticated lifestyle than athan. athan's brother is a college student at the moment, any major is fine with me! despite the differences between the two, they'd get along surprisingly well. so for family background, i'll just put down what i put in the app:

athan grew up in the city of kent, ohio. his father a lawyer, his mother a pediatrician and two younger siblings. growing up, his grandad and grandmom where very involved in his life. his grandad was a war world ii veteran, his grandmother was a nurse at the time. out of that experience, both became rather anti-war sentimentalists and always taught their grandchildren that war was never the answer. athan's parents came from the vietnam war/counterculture movement. athan grew up in a rather unconventional home environment that gave him a greater sense of maturity that most kids.

and here's what i put in his plotter:

his parents being former hippies from the counterculture movement and his grandfather was a war world ii veteran. he was raised as a pacifist, so even if he has a quick and hot temper, he's not a violent person and doesn't believe in violence or war. a lot of the stuff his parents believed in during their hippie days still stuck with them and so they passed onto athan.

this guy can obviously have reacted differently to the way the grew up. he could be completely be against his parents + grandparents beliefs, or have those beliefs influence him in ways that are similar to athan's. they also have a younger sister but she's still in high school so she wouldn't be in new york atm.
