FAMILY. Emma’s family is above average sized and admittedly larger than she’d like. With two older brothers, Thomas and Michael, and one younger sister, Lydia, Emma is essentially the middle child. Each of her siblings is married and she’s been an aunt five times over and is four months away from having a sixth niece or nephew. Emma is the only child of Richard and Elizabeth Irving who’s unwed and unbred but she’d beg to differ. She does have two children. Her eight year old Beagle, Mick, and her six year old cat, Dylan. Her family does not simply extend to her siblings and their offspring, however. Both her parents are believers in bi-yearly family reunions. Each parent has two siblings and each sibling has with multiple children and grandchildren and at each reunion, Emma will usually drink herself to sleep. Emma hates family gatherings but she loves her family.

Practicality was not a word that frequented Beau's vocabulary, nor was it something that frequented her wardrobe and everyday choices. Despite the fact that she'd be out in nature for some extended amount of time, Beau hadn't dressed the way she should of. She had tried though and that had to count for something but her vanity was far too big for her to risk looking even a little frumpy in the middle of no where. This was for a date, after all. An attempt to rekindle an old flame, rather, one that had gone out without much notice. The girl couldn't help but keep her thoughts from running when Tariq had originally gone and orchestrated the whole thing.
She'd said yes near instantly. With all the films she'd seen about old love affairs roaring to life again, she'd jumped at the chance that there could even be a slight possibility that a relationship could start up again after so long. Even when there was barely one in the first place. Beau wasn't one to look at such a situation as nothing more than what it was; just a date. No, she was far too idealistic and romantic for that.
Beau was surprised that she'd managed to get there on time, or as close to it as possible. Her bus had been late, of course...but it wasn't out of the ordinary for Beau to be late. It didn't matter how hard she tried to get out on time, she was easily distracted and took her time. She'd never been out to the outskirts of Hadley before, the walk from the bus stop in itself had been interesting but beautiful and serene and calming. The girl had high hopes for the day ahead of her.
But, despite the fact that she'd be walking for quite a while, she lit a cigarette just before her arrival. At least she'd worn flats, that had to count for something, right? She was thankful for the peek in the weather, lately, it wasn't as warm as she would of liked it to be but it was better that the cold and bitter winds they'd been experincing for the past few months. Beau liked nature, she truly did, she just preferred small cafes and libraries more. Beau looked at it as an adventure, at least, and was hoping to see the best Hadley's nature had to offer. She just hoped that the nature park or wherever the were, she really had no idea, wouldn't be full of locals and people with ugly footwear and ill fitting pants.
Upon arrival, she put out her cigarette and tossed it in a near by trash can and pushed her sunglasses atop her head and searched for Tariq amongst the cars in the small dirt parking lot and long line of trees. There was no way in hell she'd of gotten there before him...suddenly she feared she'd gone to the entirely wrong park or had just gotten herself lost altogether. That would be fun.
