Her black jeans were a bit too tight, but she balanced it out with a grey NYU tee shirt that was one size too big and slightly baggy and her small frame. She'd curled her hair, done her makeup all nice, and had on her favorite pair of strappy sandals. Sure, it was just Kenzie she was going to give a surprise visit to, but they normally took selfies when they were together, and she had to look nice in case the older girl decided to post one on Instagram or Facebook. She'd been spending her first few days of summer at her parents' home in Staten rather than her apartment in Brooklyn, and now she was riding her at-home bike down the street, to the Carlisle household. She parked the bike on the porch, then knocked on the door.
It had always been like this between the girls, doing cute little friendship things to surprise each other and try to make each others' days. Avalon was just carrying on the six-year tradition, stopping by to see the other girl so they could watch horror movies with crappy visual effects and dumb plots, while pigging out even though they really should be watching their figures since it's almost bikini season again. She fiddled with the hem of her loose t-shirt, looking down at her black-painted toenails, before looking up as the door opened.
To her surprise, it wasn't Kenzie. It was her older brother, Avalon's longtime crush, Micah. "Oh, hey!" she said with a bright smile taking over her features as her heart rate sped up. She was nineteen, not twelve, so she wasn't sure why she still had the same reaction to seeing him, but she couldn't control herself. Her light blue eyes sparkled and she felt a slight blush on her cheeks. "I came over here to see Kenzie. Is she home?" she asked, biting her lower lip and twirling her hair, without even noticing what she was doing.

Micah was currently living at home since he was still in college and well it just made more sense and was cheaper then living out on his own for now at least. Going to school for business management he was following right in his fathers footsteps. Did he want to become a CEO of a hotel like his father, not really. To be honest he wasn't even sure if he was on the right path but he was doing what he thought would make his parents happy. If all else failed atleast he would make enough money to live securely and happily. He was just trying to figure out what he wanted from life and until finding that out he was sticking to the path that was expected of him. Micah had slept in really late and woke with a grumbling stomach so he ma started to make himself some Chicken Fettuccine. Yes if there was one thing Micah had inherited from his mother was her great skill of cooking food.
He heard a knock on the door and let out a sigh wondering who would be coming over. As he opened the door and saw the familiar face of Avalon he smiled and leaned against the door frame. He never told her but he always thought she was adorable, especially now standing in front of her. What, did you get all dressed up to see me? he teased with a cheesy grin on his face. No she isn't here she said she would be gone for the weekend he said having to think about it first. His parents had gone on vacation and Kenzie was out on her own, leaving Micah to the peace and quiet of the house.
Are you Hungry? he asked stepping aside to let Avalon inside if she wanted to have some food. I woke up starving and so now Im making some Chicken Fettuccine, I think my eyes were bigger then my mouth so there is plenty he said laughing. He really didn't mind spending time with Avalon, in fact he actually enjoyed her company. Growing up he always thought of her as his 2nd annoying sister, but he always made time to play with her and Kenzie when they were little, and he always stuck up for Avalon if any one was being mean to her. One time when they were all in Highschool he heard some boys saying some mean things about her and he beat the boy up leaving him with a broken nose, busted lip and two black eyes. Micah came home just about as bad as well but had at least he came out the victor. He never told Avalon what had happened, just made up some story when she asked. As she grew up though he started to see her in a whole other light and he wasn't quite sure what his feelings were towards her any more, it was pretty confusing to him. I got some movies to or we could play some video games, might as well hang out since your here he said.
Despite the fact that Micah seemed so grown up most of the time he was quite the video game nerd and spent his free time sitting on the couch yelling at the tv when he messed up.
@kendally So sorry this took so long to respond to. Things were so busy for a while but now they have calmed down. Oh and im just laughing on the inside on what I going to happen because I have some plans -insert evil laugh- and well the cuteness/cheesiness will be to much to bear.
